Sometimes I get furious, e.g. when everything goes wrong: the glue doesn’t glue, the fibers entangle and the paper always slips.
Then I’m in need for a rage ball and I think that those could be suitable ;-)

Manchmal werde ich richtig stinkig, z.B. wenn alles schief geht: der Kleber klebt nicht, die Fäden verheddern sich und das Papier rutscht immer weg.
Dann benötige ich dringend einen Wut-Ball und ich denke, das könnte das Passende sein ;-)

Once I found a really good idea on how to make inexpensive bobbins from clothespins.
Later I found more very good ideas at Gabriela Marková’s Kumihimo blog, all entries labelled with ‘Equipment’.
You can use those bobbins very good when making you own Kumihimo cord.

If you want to take a professional looking photo from jewelry or other little items, you can get problems with reflections, shadows and the automatic flash.
I found several pages with tutorials on how to avoid those problems and take really good photos without spending a lot of money.
On the photo I tried it with an old lamp shade and natural light, but it didn’t work so well.

Wenn man Schmuck oder andere Kleinteile professionell fotografieren möchte, kann man Probleme mit Reflexionen, Schatten und dem automatischen Blitz bekommen.
Ich habe verschiedene Seiten mit Anleitungen gefunden, die zeigen, wie man die Probleme auf kostengünstige Art umgehen und gute Fotos machen kann.
Auf dem Foto habe ich es mit einem alten Lampenschirm und natürlichem Licht versucht, es funktionierte aber nicht so gut.

Every beader wants to try a beaded bead sometime.
It isn’t easy to figure out by yourself how to do this, so I want to present several links which show how to bead different beads from beads.

The beaded beads on the photo were all woven by me around a bigger bead inside.

Jeder Mensch, der ‘perlt’ möchte irgendwann geperlte Perlen probieren.

I found recently the blog of Gabriela Marková. I’m very glad about, because her (German) book ‘Kumihimo - Flechtkunst aus Japan’ was such a help for me to learn Kumihimo.
In this book she describes not only different braids, but she always encourages the reader to play around, to try new braids, colour combinations and so forth.
It really was the right book for me ;-)
On the photo you see one of my braids, and I’m almost sure, that it is a Edo Yatsu braid ;-)

Kürzlich fand ich den Blog von Gabriela Marková. Ich bin sehr froh darüber, denn ihr (deutsches) Buch ‘Kumihimo - Flechtkunst aus Japan’ war für mich eine große Hilfe, um Kumihimo zu lernen.
In diesem Buch beschreibt sie nicht nur die verschiedenen Flechtformen, sondern sie ermutigt den Leser immer, herum zu spielen, neue Flechtformen und neue Farbkombinationen usw. aus zu probieren.
Es war genau das richtige Buch für mich ;-)
Auf dem Foto sieht man eine meiner Flechtschnüre, und ich bin fast sicher, dass es eine Edo Yatsu Flechtschnur ist ;-)
Wenn Ihr die Edo Yatsu Flechtschnur auch einmal probieren möchtet, guckt einmal im entsprechenden Blog Eintrag von Gabriela Marková.

I found a tutorial on how to make incredible paper-cuts and I wanted absolutely to share!
Although I guess that I would never have the patience to make such a beautiful paper cut I think I will give it a try - sometime ;-))

Ich habe eine Anleitung für unglaubliche Papierschnitte gefunden und wollte das unbedingt teilen!
Obwohl ich annehme, dass ich nie die Geduld für einen so wunderschönen Papierschnitt haben werde, glaube ich, dass ich es versuchen werde - irgendwann ;-))

Transparent polymer clay gives you wonderful possibilities as you can see on the photo: this is an egg I covered in polymer clay.
First I took several polymer clay colours (greens, blues and yellows) and rolled them together in a snake. Then I passed it through my pasta machine and wrapped the egg with, decorating it with some red spots.
Afterwards I took my translucent flower cane and covered the polmer clay-ed egg with it. I smoothed out the surface and then baked the polymer clay covered egg.
In the end I sanded and polished thoroughly so that it got a beautiful matte shine.

Durchsichtiges Fimo gibt einem wunderbare Möglichkeiten, wie man auf dem Foto sehen kann: Das ist ein Ei, das ich in Fimo eingehüllt habe.
Erst habe ich einige Fimofarben (Grüns, Blaus und Gelbs) genommen und miteinander in eine Rolle verrollt. Dann schob ich die Rolle durch meine Pasta Maschine und wickelte das Ei damit ein. Ich habe es dann noch mit ein paar roten Punkten dekoriert.
Danach habe ich meine Transparent-Blumen-Rolle genommen und das be-fimo-te Ei damit bedeckt. Ich habe die Oberfläche geglättet und das Fimo-Ei gebacken.
Am Schluss habe ich es noch geschliffen und sorgfältig poliert, sodass es einen wunderschönen Seidenglanz bekam.

I knew about those moldable foam stamps, but I never realized how versatile they are and what great stamps you can make from them. You can even combine them into stunning collages.
I’m speechless again ;-))

On the photo you see my attempt at stamping a clothespins pattern. Because I don’t have no moldable stamp, I used my kneaded eraser. I think this is a great background for a card.

Ich kannte diese verformbaren Stempel, habe aber nie realisiert, wie vielseitig sie sind und was für tolle Stempel man damit machen kann. Man kann sie sogar zu super Collagen kombinieren.
Ich bin wieder einmal sprachlos ;-))

Auf dem Foto sieht man meinen Versuch, ein Wäscheklammermuster zu stempeln. weil ich keinen verformbaren Stempel habe, habe ich meinen knetbaren Radiergummi verwendet. Ich denke, dass das ein schöner Hintergrund für eine Karte ist.

I mentioned previously crocheted buttons, beaded beads, paper beads and fabric beads.
Another way to make your own buttons and/or beads is knotting fabric.

On the photo you see my first attempt on this technique: I admit that I still have to work on it ;-))
It is tiny (about 0,5 cm / 0.2 inches) and was made from a very light fabric that frayed heavily. I thought that this could look interesting, instead it looks unfinished.
Back to the drawing board ;-)

Ich habe früher gehäkelte Knöpfe, geperlte Perlen, Papierperlen und Stoffperlen erwähnt.
Eine weitere Art, seine Knöpfe und/oder Perlen selbst zu machen ist Stoff knoten.

Auf dem Foto sieht man meinen ersten Versuch dazu: Ich gebe zu, dass ich daran noch ein bisschen arbeiten muss ;-))
Es ist winzig (ca. 0,5 cm / 0.2 inches) und aus einem sehr leichten Stoff gemacht, der ziemlich fusselte. Ich dachte, dass das interessant aussehen könnte, statt dessen sieht es unfertig aus.
Zurück zum Reißbrett ;-)
